Pre Market Quiz

Welcome. I'm Amber Johnson, your trusted real estate expert from Pillar Real Estate. And today, we're going to determine if your home is ready to command top dollar in today's market. Let's take a quick quiz together to see if your home passes the sell for top dollar test. With years of experience and hundreds of successful home sales, we've got the insights that you need.

First, let's talk about curb appeal. When you approach your home, does it make a great first impression? Is the landscaping fresh, perhaps with a touch of black bark or some vibrant flowers? How about your plants and trees, is your lawn lush inviting? or in need of some TLC? And don't forget the exterior itself. Does the trim need to be freshen up or a fresh coat of paint? Remember, this initial impression sets the stage for everything. You deserve an honest assessment of what improvements can boost your home's value. All right. Let's move on to step two. How do you tackled the three Ds, decluttered, depersonalized and deep clean? We're talking a deep cleaning here from baseboards to scuff marks or the appliances, even swapping out all light bulbs, all of these details matter. Yes, Every light bulb, everywhere. The walls painted neutral tones. Have you patched any holes? Outdated red brick walls with mismatched paint won't maximize your selling price. Are your carpets clean and neutral? Have you updated your flooring and countertops or do your cabinets just maybe need a refresh? All of these details play a role in the value of your home. And now the third step, the smell test. Yes, the smell test. I know it sounds weird, but did you know that every home has a unique scent? It's true. How you cook, your pets, the candles that you burn or don't burn all contribute to your home's aroma. Is your home partially staged or fully staged with modern furniture to make it shine?

So I encourage you to take this quiz and rate your home on a scale of 1 to 10. Are you ready to sell for top dollar now, or do you need to make a few changes? Most homeowners find that there are a few areas for improvement, but the good news is that many of these changes can be streamline and simplified and don't have to break the bank. That's where I come in. If you're thinking about selling your home next month or next year, reach out to us to get some expert tips on selling for top dollar.
