In September, we had 32 active residential homes for sale, 19 properties went under contract, and 39 homes were sold. It was a month of movement, fueled by a few dips in interest rates that brought more buyers into the market.

Mortgage applications surged, making it an exciting time for both buyers and sellers. However, here in October, the rates have climbed slightly and stabilized around the 6% range, influenced by stronger-than-expected labor market data. While rates may not be as favorable as last month, one thing that continues to rise is inventory.

Let’s take a look at this chart. Since April 2024, we’ve seen a steady increase in homes for sale—not just in Paso Robles but across the county, state, and even nationwide. This growing inventory is giving buyers more options and encouraging a more balanced market.
