With doorbell and in-home cameras everywhere, buyers should assume showings are being watched and recorded. Showing too much excitement during a tour can weaken negotiating power, signaling to sellers that you’re willing to pay more. On the other hand, making negative comments can create resistance — once a seller hears criticism, it’s tough to rebuild trust or get favorable terms. I’ve been on both sides of this and have seen deals impacted by reactions caught on camera. The best approach: stay neutral, take quiet notes, and discuss reactions privately afterward.
